Manually operated sliding gates benefit every time with our range of Newgate drive units. We have drive units avaiable for almost every type of construction and style of gate.

Our electric Type 3 unit is suitable for domestic and lightweight gate applications, up to a mass of 1000kg.

Newgate's Type 1 motor gearbox drive units are suitable for heavier and more industrial gates up to a mass of 5000kg.

Both types of drive include manual override control as standard and conform to the latest industry standard of BS En 12453 when used in conjuction with other safety devices *

* When selecting the correct drive unit for the application, the installer must undertake a risk assessment of the existing equipment and or proposed installation. The installer must allow for force testing the gate system and to include addtional safety features, such as safety edges, photo cell beams, health and safety signage and guarding as necessary.

A variety of access control options are available including, proximity card, radio, token, keypad and intercom. These combined with induction loop or photocell safety and close facilities ensure that the single or double leaf gates will open and close smoothly and efficiently upon activation.

The Sliding Gates available from Newgate include the Automatic Sliding Gates upto 8.0 metres,e Automatic Sliding Gates upto 9.5 metres and the Automatic Sliding Gates upto 18 metres
