Manually operated swing gates benefit every time with the range of Newgate drive units. We have drive units avaiable for almost every type of construction and style of gate.

Our electric ram drive is suitable for domestic and lightweight gate applications, up to a single leaf width of 2.5m.

For heavier and more industrial gates our motor gearbox drive units are more applicable, these offer up to 7.0m for a single width leaf or 14m for a twin leaf.

A manual control is incorporated as standard and single or three phase operating systems are available to suit individual applications

Both drives confirm to the latest industry standards and have been tested to BS EN 12453 in conjuction with other safety devices *

*. When selecting the correct drive unit for the application, the installer must undertake a risk assessment of the existing equipment and or proposed installation. The installer must allow for force testing the gate system and to include addtional safety features, such as safety edges, photo cell beams, health and safety signage and guarding as necessary.

A variety of access control options are available including, proximity card, radio, token, keypad and intercom. These combined with induction loop or photocell safety and close facilities ensure that the single or double leaf gates will open and close smoothly and efficiently upon activation.
