Newgate engineers recently installed one of our Type 3 electrically operated cantilever sliding gates at a site in Elland, just outside of Huddersfield. The gate itself spans 6.5 metres and stands at 2.4 metres tall. The gate was also fitted with a VGuard welded mesh as the infill ensuring the security of the site.
For entry and exit, we fitted a card reader and intercom for those trying to enter the site and an induction loop for exit and as a safety precaution. The induction loop will allow the gate to detect when a vehicle is in range of the gate and allow it to close after the vehicle has passed the threshold to prevent damage.
