Harry Needle Railroad Co. contacted Newgate regarding the installation of a new security gate at their premises in Worksop. The project resulted in one of our Type 1 Electric Sliding Gates, with a span of 8 metres.
A circular hollow section with a 32mm diameter, cladded over with solid, flat sheet metal was used as the infill improving the gate’s strength and reliability. To add to its security capabilities, a range of accessories were included; such as razor wire running along the top edge.
Our team were able to reuse the existing entry and exit solutions. This included a radio intercom and push button for entry, as well as a set of induction loops which will be used for closing and as a safety, to prevent the gate from closing on equipment or vehicles.
