The frame and stanchions of our electric sliding security gates are manufactured from substantial rectangular hollow sections with a variety of infill options available. This Automatic Sliding Gate (Type 3) has been designed for more cost-conscious applications. This electric sliding gate can span openings of 8 metres (single leaf) or up to 16 metres (double leaf) in a cantilever construction, which means that no ground tracks are needed.

This gate rolls on two pairs of industrial bogies, with each bogey having eight wheels and being fully zinc plated to ensure consistent and smoot operation, whatever the weather.

Standard features of our automatic sliding gate (Type 3) include a manual operation override facility in case of power failure and a safety edge system and photo cell to prevent the gate closing on pedestrians or vehicles. Gate cappings, barbed wire gate tops, fire alarm activation, and audible alarms are also available as optional extras.

This Automatic Sliding Gate (Type 1) features a heavy duty design and construction for more security-conscious applications. The Type 1 electric sliding gate is available in spans of up to 9.5 metres (single leaf) or 19 metres (double leaf).

This gate runs between 8 rollers, removing the need to install a ground track. Each roller assemble is manufactured with eight fully zinc plated wheels to ensure continuous smooth operation.

Our automatic sliding gates are powered by a high quality single phase motor gearbox drive unit and PLC control providing instant response from the operational controls.

As with all our electric sliding gates, this gate has a number of advanced features including a manual operation override facility in the event of a power failure and a photo cell and safety edge system for additional safety to prevent the gate closing on visitors and their vehicles.

This Automatic Sliding Security Gate (Type 1) comes in a tracked configuration and its robust and heavy duty design makes this gate suitable for environments where security is of the utmost importance. The Type 1 tracked electric security gate is available in spans of up to 18 metres (single leaf) or 36 metres (double leaf).

From its high quality and industry leading motor and gearbox drive unit, the gate responds rapidly to operator instructions. Our Drawing and Design offices use the latest in 2D, 3D & FEA computer aided design software to ensure each product ordered by the client is drawn and manufactured to exact requirements.

When drawings have been approved, Newgate fabricators manufacture the product ready for paint shop submission, and to any BS/RAL colour requested by the client. Mechanical and electrical assembly is carried out by our qualified (to current industry standards) and time served engineers at our purpose built premises, based in Nottinghamshire.

Installation and Civil Works

Newgate have their own dedicated installation and civil engineers, strategically located throughout the country, which enable us to offer a complete (or part) installation and civil work service as required.
