A Newgate heavy duty rising arm barrier recently involved in a collision with something considerably larger.
It is remarkable that the cabinet (despite pole and cover damage) is still perfectly upright.
It must have had a good old whack as the balance weight assembly is now at 30° from where it should be and even more impressively the output shaft attached to the weights is a bent 50 mm diameter steel bar! I wonder what the front of the lorry looks like?
