On March 11th, 2020 the World Health Organisation (WHO) officially declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic. This situation is testing the resolve of all businesses not just in the UK but globally, and Newgate Newark Ltd is no exception.
In response, Newgate Newark Ltd has initiated its business continuity plan with the primary objective of minimising the disruption and impact to its customers, suppliers and employees.
We are dedicated first and foremost to the welfare of our employees and their families; their safety and their well-being is paramount. With this in mind, and in line with the current UK government guidance and protective policies, such as social distancing, we have had to make necessary steps to provide a safe platform for our operational staff. Where possible, employees have switched to home working and external access to the company premises has been restricted. These steps have enabled us to keep our production facility in operation albeit with a skeleton crew.
At this time of uncertainty, we also recognize that delivering our commitments, providing support and collaboration with you our valued customers is essential, we are still encouraging our teams to reach out and work together with you to formulate plans to support your business continuity and prevent long-term disruption. Our nationwide engineers are continuing to support all key workers such as Supermarkets, Hospitals, Ports, Utilities and Haulage companies with Service and Repairs on a daily basis. We are currently able to deliver our range of Spares as well as Manufacture and Install any additional Security Equipment, provided social distancing can be achieved.
Furthermore, our supply chain, locally and globally, is being actively monitored. We are currently content that no immediate impact to our material supply is anticipated.
With these preventive measures in place, right now it’s business as usual. We will inform you as soon as practicably possible if our situation changes.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support during this period, and from all at Newgate please stay safe.
